Business DirectoRY

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.DrinkStop is the brainchild of Chris, a proud Jamaican whose childhood memories of “bus-ride bag juices” inspired him to bring a taste of home to London. After years of dreaming and planning and a lockdown push he built a drinks brand that blends nostalgia, culture and pure good vibes. Today, he creates bold rum cocktails and refreshing mocktails, collaborates with local food spots to craft personalised flavours, and even links drinks to music with QR-code album drops. DrinkStop is all about flavour, creativity and celebrating the roots that shaped it.

One Hand Can’t Clap was born out of a simple but powerful mission: preserve Jamaican heritage and keep those old sayings and stories alive. For 25 years, the founder Lolett has empowered people through leadership programmes, cultural retreats and a card line that sparks conversation and connection. Whether in Hackney, Jamaica or somewhere in between, their work is about helping people understand themselves, their roots and their potential. It’s culture, coaching and creativity all wrapped into one.

Beulah’s Kitchen was never meant to be a business – it started with one woman baking for friends until they finally convinced her to start charging. Elizabeth threw herself into learning the craft properly, studying sponge science, bakeware, decorating and all the business essentials before opening officially in 2017. Working from her home kitchen, she’s built a loyal following through pop-ups and people tasting her cakes at parties and coming back for more. Her current obsession is her fruit-topped cupcakes, which bring together her love of good ingredients, healthy-ish touches and pure cake joy.

Tsara

Tsara is a brand born from its founder’s own name, a Madagascan word meaning “beautiful and good,” and she pours that meaning into every handmade piece. Inspired by her home, her culture and the greens and florals she grew up around, she designs jewellery from her East London home while her two-year-old sleeps. Though only a month old, her business is filled with heart, faith and creativity – especially her very first piece, a red-and-green design symbolising sacrifice and God’s inspiration. For her, each item is a way to share where she comes from while building something new for her family.

Hair Today & Hair Tomorrow is a family-run business born from education, community and a genuine desire to help people care for their natural hair. What started as seminars teaching women how to understand ingredients and choose better products evolved into a full range of handmade, chemical-free treatments the founders first created for themselves and their family. Based in London since 2013, they now offer deep conditioners, leave-ins, butters, gels and their much-loved Restorer Serum, designed to help revive thinning hair. Their mission is simple: meet you where you are and support you in becoming the best version of yourself, one hair journey at a time.

Jon is the artist behind Jon Judace Art, creating intricate, hand-drawn pieces using pen and his signature pointillism style. He’s been drawing for as long as he can remember, and what started as selling greeting cards in local shops back in 2010 has grown into a full-time creative journey. His work celebrates African and Caribbean culture while weaving in playful “Easter eggs” of maths, science and nature for people to discover over time. Today, his art lives on greeting cards, posters, fashion, homeware and more — all born from a blank page and his imagination.

Cecile is the creative force behind Cece’s Finery, a brand she launched in 2020 to bring African culture into the world of wearable art. After years working in fashion, she set out to create accessories and jewellery that are handcrafted, culturally rooted and made in collaboration with artisans across West Africa. Cecile personally sources her materials and works with small studios in places like Senegal and Lagos to ensure every piece carries real authenticity and impact. Her Afrochic designs celebrate style while supporting local makers and economies back home.

Donna is the one-woman creative behind Bags of Colour, a brand born from her love of bold prints, bright fabrics and making things that feel joyful. What began as colourful handmade bags evolved during Covid when customers started asking for baby clothes – so Donna created her now-signature reversible dungarees and rompers that are fun, practical and designed to last. She sews everything herself, sometimes roping in her teenage granddaughters to pass on the craft. Every piece is vibrant, thoughtful and made with real care for little ones and the people who buy them.

When Jay Phillips couldn’t find skincare gentle enough for his hypersensitive skin, he made his own and that’s how J4J’s was born. This award-winning brand champions clean, waterless formulas with no nasties, just pure goodness in every jar. From the indulgent Regal Body Butter to the fiery Fans Only Body Oil and the multi-tasking Loving Lip Balm, Jay’s products are all about head-to-toe care. Plus, each label hides a scannable product passport with ingredients, sustainability info, and even a playlist for your pamper session.

Ghana’s Fresh is all about bringing nature back into your wellness routine. Starting with a simple jar of shea butter, the founders built a brand that now offers everything from herbal teas and oils to nutrient-packed powders all sourced fresh and rooted in indigenous wisdom. Their mission? To show that natural remedies can support everything from glowing skin to healthy blood pressure. If you’re looking for a boost, try their baobab powder it’s fiber-rich, calcium-loaded, and tastes amazing in a smoothie.
